Ingrown hair and razor bump removal with APPLE CIDER VINEGER (with "The Mother") and Tea tree oil .

Ingrown hairs and razor bumps  are one of those things  every human experiences but never talks about. Women who shave or wax have had them and men who shave their beards have had them. These bumps can be painful and they are prone to infections.  With the above photo you can see how both razor bumps and ingrown hairs are formed. It's important to establish which type of irritant you have  although both can be healed with ACV and Tea tree oil!!. I have had them and they are extremely annoying. They can actually change the pigment of your skin which most people find unattractive.

They are most prone in people with course or even semi curly hair but no one is exempt because the wrong shaver can cause these little jerks to pop up and get all bent out of shape also.
Ingrown hairs can actually be itchy and uncomfortable, especially if you've got a lot of them. You may notice pus inside the bumps. Or you may see the hair that's causing the problem.
In men, ingrown hairs often pop up as a bunch of little bumps on the chin, cheeks, or neck after shaving.
In women, ingrown hairs are common on the legs, as well as in the pubic area and armpits.

Also, people with high levels of certain sex hormones can have excessive hair growth, which makes it more likely to get ingrown hairs, especially after shaving.

Many African-Americans, Latinos, and people with thick or curly hair develop a type of ingrown hair called pseudofolliculitis. More commonly known as "razor bumps," this collection of little bumps is common on the beard area after you've shaved, waxed, or tweezed to remove unwanted hair. The hair that grows back has a sharper edge, so it can more easily poke back through the skin and get trapped under the surface.

Now the solution. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!! annnnd Tea tree oil!!(both are availbe at any health store or even Wal-Mart carries them)
ACV:::There are several key attributes to ACV for maintaining beautiful skin, and exfoliation is one of them. Exfoliating is a key for keeping youthful healthy skin. There are several ways to exfoliate, and one of them is by “digesting” dead skin cells, which the acids in ACV do. This mild cell turnover is  used as a skin treatment to improve, soften, and smooth skin texture. The new skin layer, once revealed, is more vibrant, youthful, and healthy.
With a pH similar to skin, AVC helps restore and balance your skin’s pH and acid mantle. This too is key to healthy, beautiful skin. The acid mantle is the combination of sebum (oil) and perspiration on the skin’s surface. This barrier protects the skin and makes it less vulnerable to environmental damage (smog, sun and wind), less prone to dehydration, and also inhibits the growth of foreign bacteria and fungi (enabling skin to be healthier and have fewer breakout and blemishes. Acne, allergies and other skin problems become more severe as the skin becomes more alkaline).  In addition ACV is antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial so it helps in eliminating any infections of the pores and hair follicle .
TEA TREE OIL:::

TEA TREE OIL CAN BENEFIT THE FOLLOWING SKIN CONDITIONS:

  • Ring worm and athlete's foot
  • Softens corns
  • Cuts and scrapes
  • Itching of insect bites and chicken pox
  • Warts
  • Acne
  • Dandruff
In fact, tea tree oil may be a better alternative to conventional skin treatments.
Tea tree oil is an excellent treatment for acne.  Tea tree oil can also treat minor wounds, encourage healing, and prevent infection
Cicatrisant: The Cicatrisant property of this essential oil makes it heal wounds quickly and protects them from infections. Furthermore, it can help neutralize or diminish the scar marks and after spots left by Ingrown hairs, razor bumps, eruptions, boils, pox, and acne.
Antimicrobial: Microbes don’t stand a chance against this oil, since it is a highly effective antimicrobial substance. It can kill and keep away certain microbes (protozoa) which are responsible for causing severe tropical fevers and malaria.
Antiviral: Viral infections are very hazardous and are frequently recurring, since viruses can survive under very harsh conditions. They can bear unimaginable heat, cold and even poison, because they develop a protective shell called a “Cyst” around them. Some viruses are intelligent enough to develop a new cyst each time they are activated, like the Common Cold Virus, in order to trick our immune system. They never die naturally and can live dormant (neither alive or dead) for hundreds or even thousands of years. They can be killed only if their cyst is ruptured using a particular compound or if they are subjected to extreme heat which is beyond their tolerance. The Tea Tree Oil helps rupture this cyst in some viruses and can give protection against them. It also helps cure viral infections like the common cold, influenza, mumps, measles, and pox..

So Okay , How do you use them:
Take 1/2 cup of Apple cider Vinegar and mix with 1/2 cup of water.
Place in a spray bottle and spray/saturate a towel and wipe the affected area twice daily.

Place one drop of tea tree oil on a Q-Tip and apply to affected area once daily.

And that is simply IT!!

(Tea tree oil (TTO), or melaleuca oil, is an essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor and a color that ranges from pale yellow to nearly colorless and clear. It is taken from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to Southeast Queensland and the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia.)
(Organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (like Bragg's) also contains “mother,” strands of proteins, enzymes and friendly bacteria that give the product a murky, cobweb-like appearance.)

Enjoy Melanie xo~
